Spicy Hoison Sauce

Ready for one of the best sauces you will ever try? Yep, this is it. 

Ingredients

1 Tablespoon garlic
1 Tablespoon ginger
1 Tablespoon shallot
1 Tablespoon green onion
1 cup hoison sauce
2-4 birds eye pepper seeds*

Step ONE:

1 Tablespoon garlic, crushed

1 Tablespoon ginger, grated

1 Tablespoon shallot, finely diced

1 Tablespoon green onion, finely diced (white part only)

1 cup hoison sauce

2-4 birds eye pepper seeds (the more you add, the spicier it gets!)

Mix above in a pan, stirring occasionally over medium heat until bubbly. Remove from heat. Serve with your favorite stir fry or veggies!

Tips:

Save time by making Asian Spice Blend ahead of time! Use two as a replacement for garlic, ginger, shallot and green onion in this recipe.

*Substitute birds eye pepper seeds for 1-2 teaspoons Sambal chili sauce

For a thinner sauce, dilute with 1/4 - 1/2 cup water
